Songshan Cultural and Creative Park: Where Old Meets New

Originally built in 1937 as Taiwan’s first cigarette-rolling factory, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park (SCCP) was designed with the forward-thinking concept of an “industrial village.” Its architecture integrated streamlined production flow with employee welfare — a pioneering approach in industrial design at the time. Several key structures, including the eclectic-style Office Building, warehouses, and Boiler Room, have been preserved as municipal heritage sites. In 2011, the former tobacco factory was transformed into SCCP, a vibrant cultural platform that supports creative industries, talent development, and brand building. Today, SCCP stands as a unique creative cluster where historical legacy and innovative energy coexist in the heart of Taipei.
