Jakob Lambsdorff is the CEO of ALBA Singapore, where he oversees two key operations: ALBA W&H Smart City and ALBA E-Waste Smart Recycling. ALBA W&H is a Public Waste Collector appointed by Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA), while ALBA E-Waste operates the country’s first Producer Responsibility Scheme for electronic waste, also under NEA appointment.
In addition to his responsibilities in Singapore, Jakob leads the development of ALBA Smart City projects across Asia. This business unit is focused on transforming conventional waste management through innovative, scalable, and digital solutions designed to raise environmental standards. Current projects are under development in Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Jakob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), a Master’s in Finance from ESADE (Spain), and a CEMS Master’s in International Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (India). He serves as Chairman of the Sustainability Committee of the Singapore-German Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Waste Management and Recycling Association of Singapore.
